Privacy Policy
TIKK (“TIKK”, “we”, “us”) is a medicine reminder app made by Anil Kariwala in Kolkata, India. This policy explains what information TIKK uses, why, and the choices you have. It applies to the TIKK app at tikk.kariwala.com (and later app.tikkhealth.com) and to this website, tikkhealth.com.
1. The short version
- You can use TIKK without creating an account or a password.
- Your medicine chart is stored on your phone, with a text-only backup so the carers you choose can see it.
- Prescription photos stay on the phone that took them.
- We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.
- You can delete everything at any time from Settings.
2. Information you give us
- Medicine chart: medicine names, doses, times, schedules, doctors' names, stock and refill details, and the doses you tick, skip or miss.
- Vitals: readings you choose to log, such as blood pressure, blood sugar, pulse and weight.
- Patient details: first name, date or year of birth, and gender, used for the doctor report. You can turn on “Keep my name private”, and our server will not store the name.
- Recovery details (optional): first name, year of birth and the last 4 digits of a phone number, stored in scrambled form, so you can restore your chart on a new phone.
- Google sign-in (optional): if you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google. We use the email to restore your chart and to send missed-dose emails to carers.
- Feedback: anything you send us through the in-app feedback option or by email.
3. Information created when you use TIKK
- Notification details: a push notification token from your browser, so reminders can reach your phone.
- Reminder check report: created only when you run it, and shared only if you choose to copy or send it.
- Technical logs: basic details such as browser type and error messages, used to keep TIKK working. [Confirm whether any analytics tool is used.]
4. Prescription photos
When you scan a prescription, TIKK reads the medicines, the doctor and the review date. The photo itself is kept only on the phone that took it and is not restored to a new phone. [Confirm whether the photo is sent to a server or AI service to be read, and that it is deleted straight after.]
5. How we use information
- To show your medicine chart, ring reminders and record doses.
- To share your chart with the carers you link using a 6-digit code.
- To email linked carers when a dose is missed or skipped (at most one email a day).
- To build the doctor report and medicine orders, only when you ask for them.
- To restore your chart on a new phone.
- To fix problems and improve TIKK.
6. Who can see your information
- Carers you link. Anyone you give your 6-digit code to can see your chart and tick doses. You can unlink them at any time.
- People you send things to. Doctor reports and medicine orders are PDFs you share yourself, for example with a doctor or chemist on WhatsApp.
- Service providers that host TIKK and deliver notifications and emails, only to run the service. [List them, for example hosting, email and Google sign-in.]
- The law. We may share information if Indian law requires it.
We never sell your information and never show ads.
7. Keeping and deleting your information
We keep your chart for as long as you use TIKK. Removed medicines are hidden and can be restored for 90 days. You can erase everything from the phone and our server at any time in Settings → Delete my account and data. This cannot be undone.
8. Security
TIKK does not use passwords. Recovery details are stored scrambled, and data is sent over encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your recovery key safe and share your 6-digit code only with people you trust.
9. Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask to see, correct or erase your information, withdraw your consent, and name someone to act for you. Most of this you can do in the app. For anything else, email tikk@kariwala.com.
10. Children
TIKK is meant for adults. A child's medicines may be managed by a parent or guardian using TIKK on the child's behalf.
11. Medical disclaimer
TIKK is a reminder, not medical advice. Always follow your doctor's instructions.
12. Changes to this policy
If we make important changes, we will update the date above and tell you in the app.
13. Contact and grievances
